Hi Rick:
This is the same line I am working on. Leonard was the father of my gggrandmother-Oma who married Thomas Salyer. I have just started on this line so am sort of lost. However I do have some info. I do know that Leonard was in the Civil War in Field's company and he did return, I have a copy of his discharge somewhere. I had to access this when my son joined Sons of Confederate Vets. I know he lived a lot in Morgan Co. I know he married Lettie or Lydia or Bess Osborne, depends on the source.
There were 3 brothers that I know of. Leonard lived in Morgan Co., Thomas-lived at Muddy Branch and George who lived at Tom's Creek. I'm pretty sure that Leonard's father was named Frederick (according to Thomas Salyer)(also my source for the children's names) who was a grandson of the Thomas who married Oma Burchett. The children of Leonard and Lottie-Bess that I know of were Robert, Don, and Oma, there may be more. There was a Len Burchett, s/o Robert and Margaret who married Minnie Burchwell and had 9 children.
Any help would be appreciated.
