John and Mary E. 'Jane' (Colston) Burgess are found on the 1900 Cumberland Co., TN Census with the following children as best I can read the census:
Isaac, Ervin, Harry, Bell, Simon P., Livill, Fancy, Martha J., George, and Mary A. Burgess. The name Burgess is mispelled as Burgers, and other errors on some of the census readings.
Mary Elizabeth Colston is an older sister of my g-father, Samuel Colston, born 1857 Giles Co., TN. The Colston/Coulson family lived in Marshall, Lincoln, Giles, and back to Lincoln Co., TN on 1880 census.
Would like to hear from anyone who is a descendant of this Burgess/Colston family or has information re this family.
