Willaim Burkhalter & Mary J Calvin

Nacogdoches County TX
I am tring to find out if Mary Calvin might have been the first wife of William Burkhalter. The funeral home records in Shely county of one Thomas J Burkhalter list William and Mary as his parents. Internet geneaology sites list Willam's wife as Sarah Reid(m 1869), but all his children were born earlier(3 in the 1850's and i in 1862). Some census reports William being born in GA and some in SC. The children have different sites also (3 in GA & 1 in TX) other say all four were born in TX. William had two other wife's after Sarah, Nancy Hancock 1879, Elinder Adline Samford(we think that was her maiden name) in 1881. I would almost think there were two William Burkhalter's that came to the Nacogdoches/Shelby County area near the same time. There are only one set of children listed. One of them John is my g grandfather.
thanks for any information.
Ken Burkhalter
