Hi Ann, Michael Burkhalter and his wife Adelheit Kobel christened eight children, the youngest being Christen Burkhalter christened in 1732. Seven children survived and emigrated. The first born Peter, namesake of Adelheit's father apparently died by 1727 as another son was then named Peter. During this period there were four other Michael Burkhalters and their wives having christenings recorded in the records of this same church at Lutzelfluh. See Genforum postings #136 and #207.
