The seond migration brought the Mennonites to the Albamarle Co for the winter and then settled them near New Bern NC. The migration from there ?
Newsom/sum family is Early AMerican family from the town of Newsom VA Albamarle Co (extinct county) now Southampton Co VA.
Hutchings/ins/son/etc are colonial families also from the Albamarle Co/ Southampton Co once part of Isle of Wight Co. VA. Ann Newsome Wilson is in found in the LDS files.

Elias Burkhalter son of John, s of Michael is in MS 1803 Land Grant of 200 acres and lives and dies there. His son William Jefferson is the father of Elias b. 1850, my GGrandfather. If there is anything of this line you need please let me know.

I did run across a sale of land to Reddick by John Michael Burkhalter Edgefield S.C. That might give us one of the John's middle names.
One more note from a book on the Palantine Mennonites. They spelled the name Burckhalter.

There was a Mennonite settlement in the area of Edgefield SC/96th District in the mid 1700's. I will have to find the map with that settlement.
Thank you for all your work and research.
