RICH PLACER CLAIM -- Samuel BURKHARDT, of Murphys, hit upon a regular hens-nest of chispas, on the trail leading from Murphys to Cave City, Calaveras county, last week, within a few inches of the surface. He got out 1 piece weighing $300, and any number of pieces weighing from $3 to $8. This claim has paid, on an average since struck, 2 oz. per day.
