"ROBERT BURNAP, Jr. was baptized November 28, 1627 at Hoddesdon, County Herts, England and died in Reading, Massachutes October 18, 1695.He came to New England with his father at the age of eleven years. He settled in Reading where he was a selectman and was made a Freeman on April 18, 1695. A Freeman does not indicate he had been a slave but was a title bestowed on a citizen through election."From MY BURNAP FAMILY by Zola Burnap Irwin (my husband's grandmother)
I have more information on ANN MILLER, ROBBART BURNAP, and his THOMAS BURNAP (Robbart's father) but it is too lenghy to type here.If you would like a copy of Zola's book - email me at [email protected] have extra copies and would only ask for shipping costs.
