In doing research on my own, unrelated, line in an old Knoxville, Tn newspaper, I read the following and provide it for research help: Feb 23, 1793 Knoxville Gazette "January 22: Captain William Overall and __ Burnel killed, on the trace from Kentucky to the Dripping Spring. The flesh was cut from the bones of Overall, and carried off. Nine horses, loaded with goods and whiskey, were taken at the same time." This was in a list of "murders and depredations committed in Mero District [around Nashville] between 16th and 23rd of January". List is long. Notify Administrator about this message?
