Yes this is the same line of Burns, Elijah's wife I believe is where the Cherokee comes from. Absalom stayed in Tennessee untill the 1820's and then he followed the others to Illinois, I think the Absalom Burns on the 1820 Wilson Co. Tenn. census is him . Absalom was also listed as being in the War of 1812 along with Stephen and other Burns that I can't recall thier given names off the top of my head at the moment. Most of these men [sons of Elijah] were listed off and on, in the census as FPC because of thier Native American background. I have been writing a book about my ancestors and some of them were married into this Burns line so I have alot of data on some of the branches.
