Ralph I am turning to you because you seem to know so much about the Burnses. Can you tell me if you have ever run across a Burns line that came out of Cheraws District,South Carolina, wwhere an Elijah Burns married a Cherokee wife, and had sons with names such as William,Elijah,Stephen, and Absalom? They left that area and settled for a while in Bedford Co.,Tenn and then some went to Illinois and some went to Independence Co.,Ark. And there was a Thomas Burns son of Edward Burns who married Mary Ann Carter and they had a daughter named Sarah Sally Ann. A lady tells me that this Thomas was related to my William Burns who married Julia Worden in 1864 in LaSalle Co.,Illinois. Does any of this sound familiar? Pat
