Reason Allen Burnett,Sr. b abt 1810 SC married Sarah "Sallie" Jones b abt 1812 NC or VA.

I haven't yet traced Reason's family back, & haven't looked for him on censuses before 1850 yet.
By 1850 he's in Marietta District, Cobb Co.,GA, almost impossible to find on the census listed as "Allen Bennett".

In 1860, he's moved the family to the northern part of the county where they work at the Roswell Mill, Cobb Co.,GA.

Known children:
John W. Burnett July 1832 Franklin Co.,GA
Susan Ann "Anna" Burnett Nov 1833 Franklin Co.,GA
Nancy Elizabeth Burnett Aug 1835
William Wesley Burnett Aug 12, 1840 Franklin Co.,GA
Bethana Elizabeth M. Burnett betw 1841-1844
Elweley "Wiley" Burnett betw 1843-1848
Mary J. Burnett abt 1845
Reason Allen Burnett Jr. March 10, 1848 Cobb Co.,GA

On the 1860 census of Ward 2, Atlanta, Fulton Co.,GA, sons John W. & William W. live next to each other & have wives but no children yet.
I have not looked at War records for all the sons, but I do know that Wm W. served in the Confed. Infantry.

At some point, this entire family seems to have moved to Kentucky, where they are scattered around Hardin & Bullitt Co.,KY in the vicinity of Sheperdsville & West Point.

From what I know, the only ones I've found that returned to GA were Wm. W. & Nancy. Susan Ann I haven't located in 1870, so I'm not positive she went to KY, but if so, she's the only one.

Reason Sr's wife Sarah d betw 1860-70 either in GA or KY & he dies in Hobbs, Bullitt Co.,KY in May 1880.
Reason Jr's family move on to Indiana, & he raised a large family.

John W. lived in Hardin Co. around Sheperdsville & Atchers, where he d betw 1900-1910.
1st wife Charity abt 1840 GA, d bet 1870-1880 KY.
They had no known children except they adopted a son, John Jeffries/Jeffreys b abt 1871.
2nd wife Mary Elizabeth Triplett May 7, 1847 KY d Aug 24, 1918 Hardin Co.,KY.
Known children:
Bettie Burnett, Aug 16, 1885 KY, d Sep 20, 1971 Lafayette, Indiana.
William H., June 30, 1890, d Jan 15, 1936 Hardin Co.,KY
No record of marriage for either.

John W.'s 2nd wife Mary Triplett seems to have brought a son into the marriage, named Frank C. Triplett b Oct 1875.
I don't know this son's father, but one Ancestry tree source gives Mary a prior marriage to a William Miller, but I don't know. She wasn't marr. on the 1870 census & is marr. to John Burnett on the 1880 census.

Frank C. Triplett b Hardin Co., d Sep 9, 1957 Lebanon Jct, Bullitt Co.,KY.
Wife Katherine H. Burcham, Sep 1, 1876, Feb 12, 1949, Lebanon Jct. She was a local girl.
Known children:
Lilly M. Triplett, Dec 1899
Grace E. Triplett, abt 1906
Evelyn Stone (adp) abt 1920

Susan Ann "Anna" Burnett--All records I have on her are in GA, where she married Sylvanus Scoggins as his 3rd wife, her only marriage, by which no children. Married 1871 Cobb Co.,GA.
Sylvanus, Jan 27, 1810 Abbeville Co.,SC, d Aug 31, 1882 Cobb Co.,GA, was a son of Willis Scoggins of Abbeville, SC, well-known Scoggins patriarch.
"Anna" is found in Fulton Co. & Atlanta on the 1900 & 1910 censuses, which is the last I know of her.
In this period she lived with her sister Nancy Elizabeth Burnett.
Nancy married William Kelly who died in the War, & by whom she had 2 children:
UNK Kelly
Sally Kelly abt 1862

Nancy never remarried. She lists her marriage as lasting 4 years. She filed a widow's pension in GA, which she received. Like her sister Anna, the 1910 Atlanta census is the last I know of her & I have no info on daughter Sarah/Sally, who's on the 1870 KY census w/her mother. She may have stayed in KY or returned to GA.
Nancy did go to KY, where she's w/her father, Reason Sr. in 1870, but returned sometime before 1898, when she filed for her pension.

Reason's son William Wesley Burnett d Dec 24, 1898 Atlanta, DeKalb Co.,GA
1st wife Mary A. b abt 1835 GA, d bef 1880 KY, best guess.
One known child:
Mary Burnett abt 1869

William was on the 1870 census in KY, but returned to GA by 1880, where he marries his 2nd wife in Aug 1880 in Cobb Co., Mrs. Cynthia/Cyntha Norris.
William left his dau. Mary behind, where she's on the 1880 KY census with uncle John W. Burnett. I don't know if she stayed & married in KY or came back to the Atlanta area.

Some family sources think wife Cynthia's maiden name was Copeland, but I don't know. These family sources say she b. in TN, but Cynthia claimed on widow's pension papers that she was b Newton Co.,GA, Oct 5, 1839.
She married UNK Norris, by whom she'd had at least 5 children, who appear on the 1880 Cobb Co.,GA census, where they're working in the Roswell Cotton Mill, just prior to her marriage to William W. Burnett. I won't list the Norris children here except by popular demand or when I have more energy.
William filed for a pension as an Indigent Soldier & after his death, Cynthia got a widow's pension.
One Known Child:
John Wesley Burnett, June 21, 1881 Fulton Co.,GA, d Oct 31, 1954, Jackson Co.,GA.
John married Willie May Dorsey, 1897-1969, by whom he had many children I won't list here now. You can find them on an Ancestry tree.

Reason's son Elweley "Wiley" Burnett stayed in KY & married Susanna H. "Susan" Torrence.
Elweley is exactly his name, for it is spelled like that on a number of documents.
Wiley d Feb 12, 1918, Louisville, Jefferson Co.,KY
Wife Susan b July 27, 1859 Hardin Co.,KY, d Apr 12, 1941 Bullitt Co.,KY.
Known children:
Clayton Burnett, May 1880
Mary E. June 1882
Harvey W. "Harry" Apr 1884
Rosetta E. "Rosa" Feb 10, 1887, d Apr 12, 1914 Bullitt Co.,KY. She marr. UNK Jackson.
Albert E. May 1892
Lulu Nov 1895

I have no info on Reason's daughters Bethana E.M. or Mary J. Burnett, other than when last seen they were in KY on the 1870 census w/father.

That's hitting the high points. This isn't even my family, it's just a public service for those it might help.
