You've probably already done this, but have you tried searching the IGI for BURRISH - there are certainly lots in Sussex for 1500s and 1600s, possibly also later.
It is phonetically similar to BURRAGE but does not come up on an IGI search with 'exact spelling' off.
I was looking because BURNISH has sometimes been incorrectly transcribed in the index as BURRISH (and sometimes vice versa).
Other spelling variants of BURNISH are BURNAGE and BURNIDGE - presumably also applies to BURRAGE.
