William B Wade, from the same area of Tama County where the Orrin Burright family farmed, also joined the 14th Iowa Infantry Company G:
From the roster:
Wade, William B. Age 25. Residence Crystal, Tama County,
nativity Canada. Enlisted September 29, 1863. Mustered
January 23, 1864. Died April 1, 1864, New Orleans Louisiana. Said to be buried in Monument National Cemetery, New Orleans Louisiana.
William enlisted after the battle of Shiloh but during the Red River campaign in Louisiana he became very ill, possibly from malaria, it is also possible he was wounded at the battle of Pleasant Hill. He died sometime in April 1864. The roster says he was buried in Monument Cemetery in New Orleans but cemetery records do not show him buried there.
William B Wade was a married man, and left a widow to file a pension in July 1865.
Pension: widow July 12 1865
Lydia Wade
Application 101.621Certificate 149.373
Tama County marriage records show that Lydia was the daughter of Orrin Burright, the sister of Joseph, Cornelius and Stewart:

Note that the roster says that William B Wade was born in Canada. The 1860 Tama county census shows Stewart Burright was a married man with young daughters (born in Illinois) and a Canadian born wife. His wife was Abbie M Wade, said by some sources to have been born in Smithville Canada.
It is possible that Abbie Wade Burright was a sister or close relative of Canadian born William B Wade, and that Wade came to Tama County Iowa, and later enlisted, because of ties to Stewart Burright. In 1863 William Wade married Stewart Burright's sister before he joined the Burright brothers in the 14th Iowa, so it is very possible Stewart's wife was William's sister.
William B Wade's actual burial place remains a mystery. It would be nice to learn of any Burright family records exist that might help find his grave.
According to Tama County records William's widow, Lydia Burright Wade, later married a second time:

A correction to the post above about the Burright brothers:
their mother was Eliza. Their father Orrin had remarried to Miriam after his first wife's death.
Another note: Orrin Burright and his family were very close neighbors to the families of John McKune and John Felter who are featured in this book.
