Hi Jeff. I tried to e-mail you but it came back. Yes, your grand dad (my dad) was a famous basketball player at one time in Amsterdam, NY and you probably read it in the article I gave your dad that was published in the NY paper when dad died. The writer remembered dad and wrote a very nice article about dad when he died. His dad, Parker Burtnett was a NY policeman during the roaring 20s and disappeared during that time. Your grandmother was Dorothy Jones Burtnett. Your great grandmother (Parker's wife) was Gladys Smith Burtnett. Your dad was 1 of 6 of us children. I noticed there is another Diane Burtnett in the forum. I am Diane Lynn Burtnett of Atlanta. Georgia but born in Amsterdam, NY.
