Would like to touch base with any BUSSEY's who are researching the line from Edgefield District, SC to Russell Co., AL. My lineage is: George I>GeorgeII>GeorgeIII>Charles (Maryland to Edgefield Dist.SC)>Thomas b. bt 1742 (Maryland>SC>and descendants to Lincoln Co., GA and Russell Co., AL), His daughter DORTHY is my ancestress.

Church minutes of Salem Baptist Church, Rockhill, Lincoln Co., GA gives inf. that:

Judith BUSSEY was Baptised on Nov. 9, 1827.

Judith BUSSEY joined the Conference by experience at the Salem Conference on Sept. 13, 1828.

Bro. Charles Busey came from Double Branch on July 12, 1856.

Departed this life, Sister Martha A. BUSSY on June 20, 1857.

12 Sept. 1857, came from Double Branch: Thomas BUSSY.

(No date) 5 Sabbath in this (?) Bro. P(?) F. BUSSEY applied for Letter of dismissal for he and wife Martha BUSSEY. Granted letters of Dismissal to Martha Bussey.

Sept. 11, 1858 Bro. C. BUSSEY from Double Branch.

Church minutes of Good Hope Baptist Church, Russell Co., AL give the inf. that:
William BUSSY was rec'd by Experience on July 4, 1842:
Martha BUSSY was rec'd by letter from Read Oak Church, Edgefield Dist.,SC May 16, 1863:

Aug. 16, 1863 Ann BUSSY was rec'd by letter from Red Hill Church in Edgefield Dist., SC
(SRC note:do not know if this is the same as Red Oak Church??)
