George and Lucy Bussey settled in Bedford Co., Tn. prior to 1812 and George died sometime between 1816/1819, according to "Settlements at Thompson Ford Halls Mill, Tn. by Jerry W. Cook in "The Bedford Co. Historical Quarterly Vol. II" Spring, 1976 No. 1. Bedford Co., Tn. Deed Bk. T -p.266-6 Jan. 1826-Ben. Lentz and his wife Penelopy to Jacob Lentz, 76 acres...a tract divided between the heirs of George Bussey, deceased, and known by No. 2 Penelopy Bussey now the wife of Benjamin Lentz. I am a descendant of Elizabeth Bussey b. ca.1812 in N.C. So far, I am unable to make a connection to George and Lucy Bussey.
