The dates don't match for the Jacob that we believe is a brother to George Bussey/Bursey would be too young to be the father of your George, as the George Bussey I am researching was born circa 1838. The names of both George Bussey's appear in the Lovell's Directory for Port de Grave in 1871. My Bussey family moved to the Change Islands, as they could not get land in Port de Grave. Lovell's Directory lists several Busseys
Jacob, John, Joseph, Abram, Abram, Benjamin, George,George,Isaac and William.

My George is believed to be the son of Isaac and Harriett Bussey. Do you have details on witnesses to your Jacob's wedding? The names are too similar for there not to be a connection. I suspect your Jacob father of George and my Isaac father of George were related in some way, possibly brothers.
