Dear Karen (and others):

I realize I am responding to a message posted over 2 years ago, but I DO have Lou Bussey (Lucy Ann) in my tree.

She is actually the sister of my 3rd great grandmother, Susannah Bird Bussey who had married Col. Willis Cox Holt of the 10th Georgia Infantry who died in the War. Susannah and Willis named their daughter Lucy Ann Holt, and after the war "Aunt Lou" evidently did much to care for her sister and her children.

I have a website with much of the story of Lou Bussey, etc., outlined at

I am planning a trip to Georgia to look into this family history in October of this year, and would be grateful to anyone who can give me tips about what might be there locally to help me explore. I can post all my Bussey info if anyone wants as it relates to this line. I have gathered quite a bit.
