Bill, Interesting posting. It's only slightly at variance with my findings. I found where Henry Cox gave up land in Virginia in 1650 just prior to appearing in Maryland with Paul Busey and demanding land in Jan. 1651. The Archivist' Bulldog article quotes 1653. I found they acquired several parcels other than Lyons Creek. One has to be careful as there appears to be another Henry Cox buying land in the area half a generation following. From the first recorded purchase to the last was over 100 years. Paul is a trace name in my line of Buseys. My father was also a Paul. That line went to NC about the time of the Rev. War and then into Kentucky for a generation. They briefly settled in Indiana and then permanently in Urbana, Ill in about 1848-50. Thanks for the posting. My new address: hbusey@gmail.com Hugh W.
