Lost Busey/Bucy. I'm having the same problem but what "strikes" me about your post is that i can trace my Busey/Busey's to a MOODY line :) any chance we're in the same place. Tennessee and Rowan NC???
Check this name to yours. Tempe Bussey m. Joseph Smith in Rowan NC (3/16/1825) then in 1850 Census her last name was Moody with some Smith children. In 1860 2 Busey children (one of them mine Thomas J. Busey 1844) were living with her after there mother Nancy Bucy must have passed away. They are found living with Elizabeth (Busey???) and Wiley Prince in 1850 Census.
I still haven't any luck with Nancy's husbands name but he must be a brother of Tempe's so I would assume he was also born in Rowan then migrated to Tenn.
