Frances Slatter Bustin

Does anyone know anything about Frances Slatter Bustin. I think the name Slatter isfrom a previous marriage to Joel Slatter of which I know nothing else.

She seems to have married probably for the second time in 1767, Halifax Co., NC to Maj. John Williams b. 1736, son of Capt. Nicholas Williams Jr., grandson of Nicholas Williams and Ann Lewis. I think she is the daughter of William Bustin Jr. and Elizabeth Lewellen and probably had a brother named Christopher.

I have that her children are: Mary Ann (married Capt. William Battle in Halifax firstly and then married Gen William Arrington, Elizabeth Ellen, Sallie, Nicholas, Frances, Martha, Lucy and Rebecca (twins). Lucy seems to have married James Boddie while her sister Rebecca married twice, Alexander Sorsby and then Edwin Whitehead.

Can anyone provide any dates for Frances and possibly her brother Christopher?

THANKS.

Gerri Williams
