Sarah (Sara?) Butler - in the south about 1900?? w/ a brother named Tom
I am reading through a hand written memoir from my grandmother and there is a paragraph about how her dad got a Sarah Butler pregnant and she had a baby girl before he married her mom. The paragraph is very confusing. I will type it below in case someone else can figure it out or it rings bells. I know her dad - Robert Tillman Anderson was born in 1884 and they moved around in the south but were in Alabama quite a bit. My interpretation is that the pregnant girl had a brother named Tom who had a wife named Betty. But I could be reading it wrong.
This is just one handwritten account and I do not at all mean to accuse or call legitimate paternity into account. I just thought I would post it in case someone was interested.

"Before he met & married mom he had gotten a girl pregnant but denied being the guilty one & did not ever see her afterward. Her name was "Sara Butler" (the quotes are hers). She gave birth to a girl. Her brother Tom was a good friend of my pop's. Maybe that is why things went as they did. In later years Mr Tom rented land and lived in my papa's tenant house, farming on shares with papa. Tom's wife "Betty" & mama were best friends for years. I remember playing with the Bulter children. This was in the mid to late '20's."
