Amy -- Yes, I'm interested in any Byatts at all in the Bury St Edmunds vicinity. I don't have anything about "your" Thomas, but (from the date and area) I'd not be surprised if we eventually found a connection to my GGGgrandmother Amy. I'm particularly interested in your own name -- Amy was not a very common name 200 or so years ago, and isn't today; so it might be more than coincidence that you and she were given the same first name. (In another branch of my family, I've found the name "Thomasina" in four of the last seven generations.) Shall be very interested in anything you find, particularly in the villages of Brockley and Whepstead and of course in Bury St Edmunds (where "my" Amy, daughter of Thomas and Mary Byatt, was christened in the Whiting St. United Reform Church in 1776).And of course I'll let you know if any relevant material comes my way.
