This is a correction to my posting of five years ago. Jane Byce was born in Canada in about 1814 and Ephraim Patterson was born in New York about the same time. They lived in Longborough in Frontenac County after they were married in the 1830s. Their children were Stephen, Nelson, William Anderson called Anderson, Watson, Mary, Rhoda, Emily, Harriet, and Josephine. All but Anderson and Josephine were born in Canada and the other two were born in New York in 1850 and 1856. The family left New York in about 1857 and moved to Berrien County in Michigan and then in 1868 they moved to Antrim County in Michigan. Stephen, Nelson, and Watson served in the Civil War. Mary married Elmer Richards or Richardson. Josephine married Lewis Way. Anderson married Almira Vancamp. Ephraim Patterson was a fruit grower and his farm later went to Anderson and Almira.
