My ancestor, Moses KNAPP(b abt 1764; d 1860) married 1rst to Elizabeth Emmons in 1792 in Bourbon Co, KY and
married 2nd to Anne BYRAM/BYRUM (d before 1842) in Fleming Co, KY in 1802.
Nothing is known regarding Anne Byram/Byrum Knapp's ancestry.

By 1810 they were in Mason Co, VA (WV).
* Mason Co, VA (WV) is located along the Ohio River with the most known town being Point Pleasant.

I found a John BYRUM in Mason County, VA in 1820 :
John BYROM

Mason Co, VA in 1840 there is a Benjamin BYRAM living alone; age between 40 + under 50 > born between 1780 - 1790.

>In 1840 -living four houses from the above Benjamin Byram is William KNAPP(b abt 1796; KY), only known son of Moses Knapp.

Mason Co, VA in 1850 there is a 13 y/o Mary A. BYRAM living in the household of Joseph (27) + Catherine (30) Childers in Mason Co.

These are the only Byram's I have located so far in Mason Co, VA.
I have NOT searched the early marriage, burial or court records.
It seems as if the spelling variants for this surname range from Byrum - Byram - Byrom - Biram - Birum.
---------------------

I am trying to determine if close or extended family also migrated.
Information or clues on the above families would be appreciated.

Thank You,
Sandi Ransom Stoklosa
