Almon Barnum Byrum and the name change story.

Looking for descendents of Almon Barnum Byram, b.1825, NY, d.1897, m.1st,1851, Almira C. Hoyt, m.2nd,1884, A. M. _?.
Almon and Almira had: Kossuth (1852), Jeptha J. (1854), Harriet (1857), Albert (1858), Almon Coe (1861, Eleazer (1863), Cora (1886) twin, Flora (1886) twin, Charles (1868), Huldah (1871), and Joseph (1874). Almon was son of Jephthah III Byrum, who was the son of Jephthah Byram, Jr. The children of Jephthah Byram, Jr. changed spelling from ByrAm to ByrUm. This kind of makes sense to me as my family pronounces the name with a "rum" and not "ram" but I am keeping the spelling as Byram. ALmon was a 7th generation American. Many of his ancestors were in the Rev. War. Almon Byrum probably lived in Tompkins Co., NY for many years. In 1860 this family were in Jo Davis Co., IL.
