Recently, some letters written by Elisha Hand, father of Sarah Hand Byram, were discovered in the Pennsylvania Historical Society. In a letter dated January 1, 1837 from Vermilion County, Indiana Elisha wrote, in describing his children, "Sarah is married to a Man by the name of Adam Byram they have 3 children 2 girls and one boy their names are Pamela Mercy Suffrona and Elisha Hand." This information may be of interest to those tracing this family and the sequence of Adam's wives. In particular, it is evidence that in 1837 he was still married to Sarah Hand.
