I beleive this Samuel may be the son of John Byram (wife is Elizabeth ?)who died in 1813 while serving in the War of 1812. There is a court record in Butler County, OH (adjacent county to Dearborn Co., IN). In a January 1818 document regarding the estate, Samuel is shown to be 19 y/o "December last". That would have him born in December 1797.
Other siblings are John b. Dec 1798 (my interest); William b. May 1801; Nancy b. Feb 1804; Hiram b. Oct 1806; Anderson b. 18 Sep 1807 & twin Betsey b. same day; Thomas b. Jan 1811.
I would like to discuss this family - contact me directly at
