Alice Way, Shafter Ave, S.F. CA 1945 - A WWII Mystery

I am looking for information on Alice Mary Way. She lived at 1575 Shafter Ave., San Francisco, California, in 1945. She might have gone by the nicknames "Muggs" or "Chick". There is a photo of two little girls, a woman and a man, that says "Ma", "Andy", "Vi" and "Muggs" on the back. There is another picture of a girl, signed on the back, "Your wife, Muggs".

She would have been of marrying age in 1945. Was involved with a Navy man named Elmer Hitchcock, and might even have married him. Possible lead is a girl in the 1930 Census named Alice Mary Way living in Stockton. She has a sister named Viola May Way (Vi?). This Alice's birthday is 18 July, 1928 and she was born in San Joaquin County.

Does anyone have any info on our Alice Way? Any help would be most appreciated.
