The only thing I can suggest is that you request the obituary for Fannie. At least you would know the location and married name, if any, of Jeanette as of 1961. However, in order to request an obituary you would first need the city of residence for Fannie at the time of her death.

Click on Los Angeles County
Once you have the city of residence go to: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~socalobituaries/
Click on "bookcase" icon

Scroll down page to city of residence for information.
