??? the birth is slightly off...Have no way of knowing if he is the right one but it mentions Colorado and Michoacan Mexico Juan Aguirre, Sr. of King City, 82 Juan Aguirre, Sr., 82, of King City, passed away Friday, Dec. 8, at Eden Valley Care Center in Soledad. A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, with a Funeral Mass on Friday, 10 a.m., Dec. 15. Both services will be at St. John's Catholic Church in King City. Burial will be at King City District Cemetery. Mr. Aguirre was born May 12, 1924, in Sterling, Colo. Along with his family they moved to La Piedad, Michoacan, Mexico, during the depression. He returned to the U.S. in the 1940s, living in Texas, Washington, Chicago and finally settling in the South Monterey County area of California in 1950 and has lived here since. Mr. Aguirre enjoyed hunting, mechanic work and watching sports, especially soccer. He was a parishioner of St. Luke's Catholic Church. Survivors include son, Juan Aguirre, Jr.; five daughters, Dolores Reyes, Felipa Aguirre-Russell, Isabel Aguirre, Esther Aguirre, Josefina Aguirre; four brothers, Dario Aguirre, Pedro Salazar, Roberto Segura, David Segura; three sisters, Elena Mejia, Maria Guadalupe Walker, Rebecca Aguirre; 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Mr. Aguirre is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carmen Aguirre; son, Juan Aguirre; daughter, Carmen Aguirre and brother, Jose Aguirre.
