Searching for friends or relatives of Charles Paul Newton, Jr. He was the possibly the son of Charles Paul and Elizabeth Newton, and I believe he was born in New York City, but moved to Boston, MA. His father was a manager at the Hotel Somerset in Boston, and I believe his parents got divorced. I believe my grandfather was a member of the British Civilian Technical Corps (CTC) during WWII from 1941 to the end of 1944. He taught radio technician related classes at the NO 6 radio school in Bolton, Lancashire, England in 1942. I believe he was later transferred to Stow in the Wold (possibly RAF Rissington), and then later on to Bath, Somerset. I believe he may have taken the SS Mauretania (II) back to the United States at the end of 1944/beginning of 1945 arriving in Nova Scotia, Canada. At that point he may have spent some time in Reno, NV before moving to California.

I believe he may have moved to the Northridge/Los Angeles area of California and worked for Lockheed Corporation. I am searching for relatives, and also looking for friends/colleagues who may have worked with him at Lockheed Corporation - possibly in Burbank, Saugus, or Ontario, California (1950's - 1980's timerange most likely). I believe he passed away in 1998 at the age of 78.

I can be reached also at rjnewton13@aol.com
