Thank you for taking the time to reply! Laura Blanch (Stilwell) Lansing was my 1st cousin. She left NY state in 1945 and moved to CA. after a divorce from 1st husband, Arthur Tessier. Her widowed mother Mabel Stilwell traveled with her and died in 1948 in Santa Cruz, Rural, CA. The informant on her Death Cert. was Lester Lansing of Santa Cruz., CA.
Since the California Marriage Index does not start until 1960, I can only assume Laura Stilwell Lansing married the Lester Lansing that was the informant on her mother 's death certificate. Would like to learn if Lester and Laura Lansing are listed together in the 1948 + Directories of Santa Cruz. Perhaps I may find a clue as to when they married.
I am researching our Stilwell ancestry and appreciate any help you may offer.
