Searching for informaiton on Mickey/Mickie Darby or for descendants who might be able to fill in some gaps in the Darby line for me.
Mickey's aunt (Ruby Darby Harrison McEnery) lived in the San Diego area.
Mickey/Mickie Darby was the daughter of Eugene 'Gene' Curtis Darby (b. 9-11-1900 OK). Gene was a vaudeville performer and was the only son of William Curtis Darby and Ella Jane (Monroe) Darby.
Darby descendants in KS have photos of Mickey when she was about 2-4 years of age and visiting the Darby families in KS. What isn't known is if Gene brought Mickey to KS to visit or if her aunt, Ruby Darby Harrison, brought her to KS to visit.
Gene was married twice (1) Mildred Bridges and (2) Greta Amber Deane. The last record located for Gene was 10-6-1934 (an ad appearing in the LA newspaper about his appearance at a theater there).
Does anyone know when/where Gene may have died? where buried?
What became of Mickey Darby? did she marry? have children?
Any and all information appreciated.
