I have been informed that when my great uncle John Collins
died in 1972 that his next of kin his niece was sent a cert from President Nixon something to do with the army,can anyone help me with what it would be.
John Collins was born in 1891 in Co.Mayo Ireland came to USA sometime after 1911 and lived in San Francisco all his adult life,he never married and i think he died in Jan?1972 in SF.He would have been to old for 2nd war so all i think is he may have stayed on in forces after Ist war, but would you have to wait until you die to get a cert?
