Jack: San Francisco is not in San Mateo Co. The city of San Francisco is in San Francisco Co. You will need to determine which Co. is the place of death before you can narrow your search. Redwood City is the county seat of San Mateo Co. and the Co. vital records are kept there. Good luck, Sandy
