Thank you for your reply and the information about meaning of "fuedo". I understand that you had not mentioned Gran Canaria, but I also understood you were interested in having contact with others following the Caballero line. Many of them emigrated to thje "neuvo(a?) monde" and there are thousands in the USA now, and probably many more in the western hemisphere south of the U.S. Some did go to the Canary Islands and I have an interest in that migration. From there, some migrated farther to the west over a span of several centuries. Here is Caballero data from my source: "CABALLERO"-- apellido de origen aragones.
