Pat,
I've gathered some info on Francois Xavier Cabassier. He was the son Louis-Marie Cabassier and Victorie Claude - Dome may be her dit name. Louis & Victoria Cabassier were in Kaskaskia, IL in 1751. Sgt. Pierre @ 1641 spelled it Cabazier.
Marie Amable Lemay Cabassier was buried in Holy Family Cemetery, Cahokia, ST. Clair CO, IL. on March 11, 1794, I think listed as Amable Lemay because of the other Amable Cabassier also buried at Holy Family.

I am searching for the birth/parentage of Marie Archange Napoleon Cabassier and the marriage record to Jean Baptiste Sansoucie of Washington CO, MO @ 1838.
Would you share for comparison any of your ancestry say from 1900 back? The Mayotte/Mallate/Laviolette/Roufiange and all the variants have me going around in circles.
