As someone who grew up in old Cahokia I was taught that somethings are as plain as the nose on your face. I did not infer that John had a pedigree chart for Mary Archange rather I was trying to give you a discreet tip as to where to look. Today alone I saw the Cabassier (even Cabacie) surname on several sites on Washington CO, Mo pages plus on the Ancestry Message board & other Missouri sites. Finding this board through Family search, and one Francis Cabassier that fit the profile, alone provided a lot of clues-such as all Cabassiers are somehow connected-mentioning of Dit names-connecting surnames-marriage dates, places, etc. Knowing a little history of the early French settlements of Illinois,Missouri,& Indiana helps also. I did not make up the information but rather put two & two together from other earlier ancestral lines in Washington CO, MO. who had supplied the names both ways or shall I say as original & now recorded. By the way who do you descend
through Ed,Wil,Steve,Joe,Harrison,Charlie,Jack,Florence, Olie, Mary or Bell?
