I just began researching my boyfriends family on the request of his mother. She is searching for the names of her grandparents, but I would like to get her as much information as possible on her family.

Her parents are Henry Franklin Cabe b.6/21/1886 d.4/1963 and Julia (aka Laura) Elizabeth Odle b. 2/20/1905 d.8/1977

They hailed from Mckinney in Collin county. They had at least three children in the 1930s and 40's at least one of whom still lives in the area (Dallas). Since Cook County and Collin County are so close together, the families probably come from the same line. What do you think? Do you have any information you would be willing to share on this subject or on the Cabes from N. Texas. I also heard the family is Cherokee, from my boyfriends mother and from some research, any info on this? I heard this might make the family hard to trace, any tips?
