Hope someone can help. I have not been able to locate my Ggrandfather's parents. His name was William H. Cabell, b. 1844 in Virginia d.1925 in Old Confederate Home in Austin, Texas. He enlisted in 2nd Virginia Cavalry in Amherst in 1862 and served until end of war. I have purchased both books of Cabells and Their Kin & Twentieth Century Cabells. He is not mentioned in either one. My grandmother was told when she was a child that she was a second cousin to Earle Cabell of Dallas, TX. I have yet to find any documents to support this. My grandmother is still alive. Her father was 71 or 72 when she was born. I have been working on this for over 18 months. So if anyone has any information please be so kind to share, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
