Has anyone ever seen the supposed survey book taken by Dr. William Cabell, of lands in Albemarle/Amherst counties, Virginia? 1740's-50's? In "Cabell's and Kin," the author seems to allude to this list or diary. Is such a document extant? It would be a detailed list of the surveys and land transactions of Dr. Cabell, and would note many surnames of people who bought land from him and his associates. I am most interested in the lands along both sides of the James River, from the Fluvanna line to present Lynchburg. Edwin
