I am searching for any available information on James Monroe and Lula Cabiness. Here is what I know about them:
James Monroe Cabiness7 (James W.6, Peter Randolph.5, William4, John3, Matthew2, Henri1) (Born in Attala Co. MS 1861 to 1936 buried in Four Mile Cemetery Van Zandt County Texas) married Lula Lee (1868 to Jan. 5, 1938, buried in Four Mile Cemetery Van Zandt County Texas) The Texas Death Index has it listed as Lila Virginia Lee Cabiness: died in Kaufman Co. Texas 1-5-38 Cert. #3514.
Children: Minnie L, Jesse, Robert R. Ernest C, Maggie Cabiness born October 1893 (died ? she was not on the census), and Dewey Hobson. They are listed on the 1900 census in Limestone County where Dewey is listed as being one year old. There were other brothers and sisters born after this date. The ones I know of were: Edna Bernice Cabiness Sapp (June 11, 1902 Groesbeck TX, Limestone County to Jan 17, 1951, Four Mile Prairie Cemetery Van Zandt County Texas, and Thelma Fay . By 1920 they are listed on the census of Van Zandt County, living without children in Wills Point, on Goshen Road.
I am searching for information on who Lula was, what her full name was, her lineage, and marriage records for them. On the census it lists her birthplace as Mississippi, so I can assume that is where they met and married. She was obviously only 12 when they married. Any help will be appreciated.
