You must be Bobby Wayne Pate, b. 11 Auguist 1939, right? According to the book, "The Family of George Cabaniss," by Laura Jane Cabaniss Walters, Martha Virgina Cabaniss was born 21 June 1860 in Jackson County, AL, and died 21 August 1899 in Cookville, Titus County, Texas. On 14 August 1884 she married David Ellis (Elias) Welborn who was born 9 September 1861 in Jackson County, AL, and died 10 Nov 1940 in Floydada, TX.

You really need to order this book. It traces your Cabaniss line back to Henri Cabaniss who arrived in Virginia in 1700. You can get the information for ordering this book on my web site. Go to this url:
