I'm researching the early families of my hometown of Colton, San Bernardino County, CA. In 1900 Census there was William Cable, b. Nov 1860 Louisiana (stone mason); m. 17 years to Lily M. Burns (fr. CA Death Records of son)b. Oct 1866 Illinois; son George W., b. Oct 1890 Kansas; son Frederick M. b. 1899 California. Still living in Colton 1910: William a widower; includes William's mother, Isora? E. Cable, 68-wd, b. NY/parMA/NY; William's sister, Ada H. Cable, single, 32, b. TX; and 2 children listed as "lodgers": Ruth and Mable Golden, ages 6 and 3 respectively, both born California, par. b. TX - possibly daughters of Ada? California Death Records state George W.Cable d. in San Bernardino 6/08/1961, mmn Burns. Would love to know family background on both Cable and Burns families if possible. Thanks - and have a great day!
