Hi Linda,

I strongly believe the Cables you found in TX are Alexander Lafayette & family. 1870 lists Alexander with wife Sarah and daughter Ann J. age 1 For 1880 in TX it lists A.L. with wife S.M. (Sarah Matilda) I know this because Sarah is listed on the 1900 census as Matilda. They do have daughter Susan. J.T. of 1880 is actually John T. Cable see 1900) & M.C. is a daughter Myrtle (also 1900). The 1900 census also tells us they had 12 children, 9 of which were still living. May I ask how you come up with several parameters not fitting?

My line comes down through Claiborn (variation of spellings)& Charlotte (Dugger) to his son David who eventually ends up in Wolfe Co. KY I haven't figured out why my gg uncle ended up in IT. I need to find out if he was either on the intruder rolls or if Sarah was American Indian. This is my brick wall.
