Duane Grant Cable, 76, Two Harbors, died unexpectedly at home in his sleep on Saturday, Dec. 6th, 2008. He was born March 2nd, 1932 to Ulysses and Olive (Storm) Cable in Slayton, MN where he grew up and attended school. He enlisted in the US Navy and was involved in the Korean Conflict. He returned and married Betty Illg on May 9th, 1955.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and half sisters Annie, Anna, and Cheryl. Duane is survived by his wife Betty; daughters and son Julie (Kevin) Gow, Valerie Cable (Jake Greenwald), and Michael (Sandra) Cable; grandchildren Reid and Chase Peterson and Kasey and Abby Cable, all of Two Harbors; brother Doug Cable of Sioux Falls, half brother Frank (Mary) Trotter of Albert Lea, half sister Betty (James) Basinger of Alabama.
