According to a family member who has been doing some genealogy research on the Cable family, our family tree begins with Abraham Cable. We do not know where he came from, although there has been some speculation that it could be from somewhere in England or Germany. We have been unable to find any record of him arriving at Ellis Island. According to our family tree, Abraham Cable gave birth to a son, John N. Cable, in 1821. John Cable then married Margaret Zimmerman and they had three children; the family apparently settled in Dawson, Pennsylvania, USA.
Anyone out there have information on Abraham Cable that gibes with the information we have?
