I am trying to track down a person whose name was C. W. Cable. This name comes from the back of a picture that appears to be my gg grandmother Martha Lloyd. Martha L. Goodwin Lloyd was the wife of David McGee Lloyd. Martha died in 1867 in Mississippi. David Lloyd subsequently married Nancy Ann Frances Knox. They only had one child, Rebecca Charlotte Lloyd who became the second wife of William E. Cable-born (according to 1900 census) March 1860 in North Carolina. Rebecca and William Cable only had 3 children that I have been able to determine. A couple of years ago a picture turned up in the possession of a man in (I believe Ohio) who had purchased the picture at a flea market. On the back of the picture is the notation
Martha Lloyd-and below that is written --C. W. Cable Album.
Does anyone researching the Cable family know who C. W. Cable might be.
