Hi. I am researching my husband's Cablers. They appear to be very difficult to track down compared to my other surnames. My husband's great great great grandfather was James Boyd Cabler born Dec 3, 1832- May 28, 1906, PVT 9th Tenn Cavalry. His son was John Morgan Cabler - we believe because James Boyd either fought with or under John Morgan, a famous Confederate General from Alabama. We are at a loss as to who James Boyd's parents are though it is believed to be Benjamin and Ann Cabler of Davidson County. We have NO!! Proof of this though I have been led to believe this by other researchers. Any info is GREATLY appreciated!
